What is an LRC file?

An .lrc file is the standard format for synced lyrics: a plain-text file where every line starts with a timestamp, like [01:23.45]And the line of lyrics. Put it next to the audio file with the same name (song.flac + song.lrc) and any player that supports LRC will scroll the lyrics in time with the music.

Tips for accurate timing

• Stamp on the first sung syllable of each line, not the breath before it.
• Made a mistake? Click a line's timestamp to select it, seek the player back, and stamp again — or nudge it with the ±0.2 s buttons.
• Slow songs forgive; fast verses don't. For dense sections, pause after each line and use the audio scrubber.

LRC format cheat sheet

Everything this LRC maker writes is plain text you can open in any editor. The format has two kinds of lines:

• Metadata tags at the top: [ti:Title], [ar:Artist] and [al:Album]. Players use them to match the file to the track.
• Timestamped lines: [mm:ss.xx]Lyric text, where minutes and seconds are measured from the start of the audio. Two decimal places (hundredths of a second) is the widely supported precision, and it's what this tool exports.

Name the file exactly like the audio file (Song.flac → Song.lrc) and keep the two together in the same folder. That single convention is what nearly every LRC-aware player — desktop or mobile — uses to find the lyrics, no configuration needed.

Where to get the lyrics text

Type them by ear, or copy them from the album booklet or the artist's published lyrics — then paste here and stamp. If you already have an unsynced .txt, paste it as-is: each line becomes a stampable row. And if you have a synced .lrc from elsewhere that drifts by half a second, paste that too — the timestamps import intact so you can nudge individual lines instead of redoing the whole song.
