Trove Player

How it works

From a folder — or your NAS — to playback

No uploads, no re-encoding, no account. Here's exactly how Trove gets from your files to playback.

  1. 1

    Point Trove at your music

Add a local folder, drop files in over Wi-Fi, or — with Pro — connect a WebDAV or SMB share on your NAS or server. Your files stay exactly where they are.

  2. 2

    Trove scans and organizes

Tags, album art, lyrics and duration are read in the background, and a cover.jpg or folder.jpg beside the music counts as album art. Your library appears organized by songs, albums, artists and composers.

Fix messy tags first — ID3 Tag Editor →Find missing covers — Album Art Finder →

  3. 3

    Press play

Gapless playback, synced lyrics, EQ presets and AirPlay — on your Mac, your iPhone, your iPad and your Apple Watch, and in the car through CarPlay, with no subscription and no account.

Make your own synced lyrics — LRC Maker →Playing FLAC on an iPhone →

Why people choose Trove

Trove is built with SwiftUI as a real native app across the Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch — not a web wrapper. It plays 15+ formats including FLAC, ALAC, APE and DSD, streams directly from WebDAV and SMB shares, and keeps everything local: no account, no cloud middleman, no tracking. The core player is free, and Pro is a one-time purchase — never a subscription, and one purchase covers every device. See the full feature list or the FAQ.
